I am a licensed marriage and family therapist as well as a licensed psychologist in Norway.
I believe strongly in supporting the building of robust interpersonal relationships. I have been fortunate enough to train as a certified PACT couple therapist and in 2013 was invited to become a core faculty member with the PACT Institute. In my work with couples as well as individuals, I use the dynamic interplay of attachment processes, developmental neuroscience, and arousal regulation that informs the PACT model in addressing a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, personality disorders and trauma. I am additionally trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR™), and believe that my interest in mindfulness practice and yoga also influences my work.
My current clinical work involves the treatment of couples, families, and individuals, as part of an intensive inpatient family treatment unit at Viken Senter, a national psychiatric center in the northern part of Norway. I also participate in assessment and therapy services on the inpatient trauma unit at Viken senter.
Additionally, I am an educator, clinical supervisor, consultant and writer. If you are interested in consultation or supervision services or in having me speak to your group, please contact me – firstname.lastname@example.org. I welcome media inquiries for consultation regarding issues of a psychological nature. All services are available in English or Norwegian.
